Left Handed Hockey

Why does it seem that most hockey players shoot left handed?

When you shoot left, the hand in the middle of the stick is your left hand, and the hand at the top of the stick is your right hand. When you are skating fast, or stretching to reach a far away puck, you end up with only your top hand on the stick - , in the case of a left shot player, that would be your right hand.

That is why right handed people (which is most people) end up shooting left - so that when they have to handle their stick with just one hand, it is their dominant right hand. It is obvious that the world is set up for the righties but in sports it seems if you are a southpaw you just might be on to something. Left handed pitchers make more money and left handed batters have a couple step lead to getting to first over a righty. So do you play left handed hockey but are really right handed? Don't worry if you do and want to pick up a new left handed stick just start your search right here. We offer all left handed sports gear at a very reasonable price.
